League of Women Voters
of Massachusetts
Portfolio Project
About
The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts (LWVMA) is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to empowering voters, protecting voting rights, and strengthening democracy through education, advocacy, and civic engagement.
The goal of this project was to modernize the organization's website, improve navigation, and create a more user-friendly experience for both members and the public. With a large volume of content, resources, news, and events, the site needed a clearer structure that made important information easier to find and engage with.
Design Direction
Working within LWVMA's established brand identity, I redesigned the website to create a cleaner, more organized experience with improved visual hierarchy and mobile usability. Content-heavy sections were restructured to reduce clutter, while key actions such as joining, donating, accessing resources, and staying informed were made more prominent throughout the site.
The redesign emphasized accessibility, intuitive navigation, and streamlined content organization, helping visitors quickly find news, events, advocacy information, and voter resources.
The Outcome
The finished website provides a more modern and approachable experience while supporting the League's mission of voter education and civic engagement. Improved navigation, clearer content organization, and enhanced mobile functionality make it easier for members and the public to access information, stay informed, and participate in League initiatives.
